CVS is My Favorite Destination for Drugstore Beauty

Who said great beauty can’t be affordable? As much as I love luxury beauty as the next makeup connoisseur, it’s not always practical in my budget. With the said, CVS Pharmacy is my favorite destination for drugstore beauty products. And, over the course of my blogging career, it’s where I’ve chosen to purchase all of my affordable beauty products. CVS Pharmacy is not just a place to pick up your prescriptions, in every aisle; CVS Pharmacy is helping customers on their path to better health and beauty!

With thousands of locations nationwide, there’s likely one within 3 miles of your home. CVS Pharmacy is committed to offering the best beauty shopping experience, conveniently and affordably, to meet the needs of its more than 35 million weekly shoppers, 80% of whom are women and 26 million who are enrolled in the Beauty Club loyalty program to save even more on the beauty they love!

When you sign up to be a part of the CVS Beauty Club loyalty program (don’t worry, it’s free), you’ll receive a $5 Extrabucks coupon for every $50 you spend on beauty! And, as a part of being a CVS Beauty Club Member, you’ll also benefit from:

• 10% off beauty shopping pass after enrollment
• $3 ExtraBucks Rewards on your birthday
• Exclusive emails with coupons, tips and new product info

But, wait, what are Extrabucks? Extrabucks are one of the main reasons I’m a loyal shopper at CVS and something I’ve praised over and over again over the course of my blogging career. If you don’t know what Extrabucks are, they are basically rewards you receive as an Extracare member for the products you purchase, in which you can turn around and use toward your next purchase. For example, this week CVS has $5 Extrabucks when you spend $15 on any L’Oreal cosmetics. So, when you spend $15, a reward for $5 will print off on the bottom of your receipt, and you can tear it off and use it on your next purchase of $5 or more.

I love the fact that they stock brands that some of my other local stores don’t carry such as NYX, Milani and exclusive brands such as Makeup Academy (MUA), Beauty360, Nuance by Salma Hayek and more. Milani especially is a brand that I’ve loved for years and CVS is the only store near me that stocks it. I love just about everything from the line. Need an extra opaque, creamy black pencil liner for a fraction of the price of department store brands? Check out the Milani Liquid Eye Liner Pencil; at under $8, you can’t beat it.

Each week, I try to make the habit of checking the weekly sales ad online to see if there are any good deals on cosmetics that I should take advantage of. If there are good sales, I’ll always stop in and see what’s new from the cosmetic brands. I’m much more willing to try new products when I’m receiving savings, and I’m sure that’s the case for most of us. I’m always trying the latest and newest products to blog about, and it can get pricey! I love that CVS saves me quite a bit on my purchases.

Aside from the great selection of makeup, CVS also has a broad selection of skincare to suit your needs. They carry your standard drugstore brands, as well as imported brands like Bioderma and L’Roche Posay, Viche and more. Whenever I’m in-store, I always make sure to pick up a package of Aveeno Ultra-Calming Makeup Removing Wipes for my sensitive skin, and browse whichever products have a sales tag.

Something that is also great is that shoppers can enjoy risk-free shopping at CVS Pharmacy thanks to a 100% satisfaction Beauty Guarantee on beauty purchases. If you’re dissatisfied for any reason, you can return the beauty product (opened or unopened) along with your receipt to any store for a full-price refund, no questions asked!

I think a return policy like that is amazing, because its often times difficult picking products and colors at the drugstore without testers of all products available. There have been times where I ended up with the wrong color match in a foundation, or a product that didn’t agree with my sensitive skin, and unable to use it, it was money wasted. I absolutely love that you are able to return products for whatever the reason may be. And recently, at select CVS stores, there are actually beauty consultants available to assist you with any questions you have regarding beauty, and are able to provide you with product knowledge and recommendations based on your own personal needs.
